Jubaland State of Somalia condemns Terrorist attack in Garissa, Kenya
On April 3rd 2015, the world witnessed the tragedy that unfolded as Al-Shabaab terrorists attacked Garissa University in Garissa, Kenya, ending in senseless deaths of 147 citizens.

There are no words that can adequately measure the incomprehensible loss of young lives in Garissa.

The Interim Jubbaland Administration (IJA) strongly condemns the unspeakable carnage that took place today in peace-loving Garissa town.

IJA President Ahmed Mohamed Islam spoke passionately about our collective grief and outrage, while reminding us that “No peace loving people can tolerate the heinous murders of 147 innocent beings, and we must continue to fight these forces of evil as brothers and allies.”

The Jubbaland Administration and its people stand in solidarity with the Government and people of Kenya.

Kenya has supported and aided the recovery of Somalia, and we honour the KDF forces who have been at the front lines at the battle against terrorism.
We join the Somali nation and the international community in condemning this brutal crime against humanity in the strongest terms, and offer our deep and heartfelt condolences to the people of Government of Kenya, families and friends of the victims.

The IJA renews its commitment to the war against Al-Shabaab and all enemies of peace who seek to destabilise peace in this region. The IJA is prepared to coordinate and closely work with Kenya,
the Somali Government, and wider International partners in defeating the criminal Al-Shabab terrorist
organization. The spirit of Kenya will not broken, and Kenya will continue to serve as an model for
